Plans Policy
Effective Date: 8 October 2026
Last Updated: 8 October 2026
This Plans Policy explains the rules for creating, joining, hosting and managing plans on Weefou. It applies to user-created social plans, activities, group meetups, events, trips and other real-life arrangements made through Weefou.
This Policy should be read with the Terms and Conditions, Community Guidelines, Safety Centre, User Reporting Policy and Refund / Cancellation Policy. Purchase-specific terms shown before payment also apply to paid plans.
Weefou is for adults aged 18 years or older. Creating or joining a plan does not guarantee attendance, compatibility, safety, results or the behaviour of another user.
1. Important Definitions
For this Policy:
- A Plan is an activity, meetup, event, trip or other real-life arrangement created or shared through Weefou.
- A Host is the user who creates or manages a Plan. An approved co-host may help where the product supports that feature.
- A Participant is a user who requests to join, is accepted into or attends a Plan.
- A Paid Plan is a Plan that requires a ticket, booking amount, entry fee, shared cost or another mandatory payment.
- A Third-Party Cost is a payment collected by a venue, ticketing service, transport operator, hotel, activity provider or another external business.
2. Creating a Plan
A Host must provide accurate and useful information so people can make an informed decision before joining.
Every Plan should clearly state, where relevant:
- The real activity and purpose.
- The date, start time and expected end time.
- The city, area, venue or public meeting point.
- The total number of available spots.
- Any age, skill, equipment, accessibility or lawful eligibility requirement.
- Every known mandatory cost, what the amount includes and who will receive it.
- The cancellation, refund and confirmation rules.
- Transport, accommodation or ticket arrangements when relevant.
- Any material risk, physical requirement or venue rule a reasonable participant should know.
A Host must not create a Plan that is fake, misleading, illegal, unsafe, sexually exploitative, discriminatory, violent, fraudulent or unrelated to the activity described. A Plan must not be used to collect unnecessary personal data, pressure users for money, promote an unauthorised commercial service or move users into an unsafe arrangement.
The Host must have any permission, reservation, ticket, licence or venue approval reasonably required to run the Plan. Publishing a Plan does not mean that Weefou has inspected, approved or guaranteed the Host, venue, provider or activity.
3. Joining a Plan
A request to join is not a confirmed place until the Host accepts the request or the booking flow shows confirmation.
Participants must:
- Use accurate profile and contact information.
- Read the complete Plan details before requesting to join.
- Join only when they genuinely intend and are reasonably able to attend.
- Provide relevant information honestly, such as skill level, accessibility needs or lawful eligibility.
- Respect the Host's stated capacity, confirmation deadline and venue rules.
- Tell the Host promptly if they can no longer attend.
A Host may accept or decline a request based on capacity, activity fit, stated eligibility, safety concerns or Plan-management needs. Decisions must follow applicable law and Weefou policies. A Host approval, completed profile or verification signal is not proof that a person is safe.
Participants must not pressure a Host after a request is declined, ignored, cancelled or expired. Creating multiple accounts or sending repeated requests to avoid a decision may lead to account action.
4. Host Responsibilities
The Host is responsible for organising the Plan honestly and managing it with reasonable care.
The Host must:
- Keep the title, description, date, time, venue, capacity and price accurate.
- Use a real public venue or suitable authorised location, especially when people are meeting for the first time.
- Confirm venue availability, access, booking conditions and capacity before presenting them as final.
- Explain mandatory costs before accepting payment or confirming attendance.
- Review requests consistently and avoid collecting information that is not needed for the Plan.
- Communicate material changes promptly.
- Respect consent, privacy, boundaries and the right of any person to leave.
- Follow applicable laws, venue rules and Weefou policies.
- Report serious safety, fraud or abuse concerns rather than handling them through threats or public shaming.
Hosts must not oversell capacity, hide charges, advertise a private residence as a public venue, falsely claim affiliation, collect identity documents in a public group chat or pressure participants to use an unofficial payment method.
Where alcohol is present, the Host must not pressure anyone to drink and must follow applicable age and venue rules. Travel Plans should identify the route, transport arrangement, pickup, return expectation, accommodation terms and important cancellation conditions before payment.
5. Changes to a Confirmed Plan
A change is material when it affects a reasonable participant's decision to attend. Examples include a change to the date, start time, city, venue, activity, mandatory price, group size, transport, accommodation or expected duration.
The Host must notify confirmed Participants of a material change as soon as reasonably possible. Participants should be allowed to withdraw when the revised Plan no longer works for them. Any refund eligibility will follow the terms shown at booking, the Refund / Cancellation Policy, the payment provider's rules and applicable law.
The Host must not replace a public activity with a private or materially riskier arrangement without clear notice and fresh consent. Silence is not consent to a changed Plan.
6. Cancellations
Host Cancellation
If the Host cannot run the Plan, the Host should cancel it through the available Weefou flow and notify confirmed Participants promptly. The Host should not leave the Plan active, ask Participants to travel to the venue or mark the Plan as completed when it did not happen.
For a Paid Plan, refund or credit eligibility will be determined by the terms shown at checkout, the Refund / Cancellation Policy, the payment channel's rules and applicable law. Costs paid directly to a venue or third-party provider remain subject to that provider's terms.
Participant Cancellation
A Participant who cannot attend should cancel or tell the Host as early as reasonably possible so the place can be offered to somebody else.
Participant cancellation does not automatically create refund eligibility. Any refund, deduction, credit or transfer will depend on the booking-specific rules accepted before payment, whether a ticket or service has already been purchased, the payment provider's rules and applicable law.
Unavoidable Disruption
Weather, road closures, public restrictions, venue failure, transport disruption, illness or another event beyond reasonable control may require a Plan to change, pause or end. Safety should take priority over attendance. The Host should communicate the issue, avoid making promises on behalf of third-party providers and explain the available next step.
7. No-Shows and Repeated Unreliable Behaviour
A Participant may be treated as a no-show when they confirmed attendance but did not arrive within the stated arrival window and did not provide reasonable notice. A Host may be treated as a no-show when the Host or an authorised co-host fails to run the confirmed Plan and gives no workable cancellation or update.
Weefou may record or review repeated late cancellations, no-shows, misleading attendance claims or abuse of the confirmation system. Depending on frequency, context and seriousness, action may include a reminder, warning, reduced Plan privileges, temporary restriction, removal of a Plan, account suspension or other proportionate action.
One genuine emergency should not automatically be treated the same as repeated intentional misuse. Users should provide honest context through the available support or appeal process. False no-show reports or retaliatory reports may lead to action against the reporting account.
8. Payments and Price Transparency
Before payment, a Paid Plan should show the mandatory price, taxes or fees where applicable, what is included, who receives the money and the cancellation terms.
A Plan marked Free must not require an undisclosed mandatory payment. Optional personal purchases, such as an individual food order, may be separate when this is stated clearly.
Where supported, the booking flow may show whether a ticket or platform fee is paid by the Host, the Participant or split between them. The amount displayed before confirmation is the amount the user agrees to pay, subject to clearly disclosed third-party charges or taxes.
Users must not share OTPs, UPI PINs, card PINs, banking passwords or screen access. A Host must not use urgency, threats or a fake booking deadline to pressure people into payment. Suspicious payment requests should be reported.
Payments made to a venue, ticketing platform, transport operator, hotel or another provider may be governed by that provider's terms. Weefou cannot promise a refund that a third party controls.
9. Refunds and Credits
Refund eligibility depends on how the payment was made and the rules presented before purchase.
- Purchases controlled by Apple App Store or Google Play may need to be cancelled or refunded through the relevant store.
- Payments processed directly through Weefou or a supported payment partner follow the applicable checkout terms and Weefou's Refund / Cancellation Policy.
- Third-party tickets, venue bookings, transport and accommodation follow the provider's cancellation and refund terms.
A change of mind, unused booking, Participant cancellation or no-show does not automatically qualify for a refund.
A duplicate charge, failed delivery, confirmed billing error or technical failure may be reviewed under the Refund / Cancellation Policy.
Approved refunds are generally returned through the original payment route where possible. Processing time may depend on the app store, payment gateway, bank, provider, fraud review and applicable law.
10. Safety Rules for Every Plan
Users should take reasonable precautions before and during every Plan.
- Meet in an active public or authorised place when meeting somebody for the first time.
- Tell a trusted person where you are going and when you expect to return.
- Arrange your own transport and keep enough control to leave independently.
- Do not publish a home address, hotel room number, government ID or exact live location in an open Plan or group chat.
- Keep your phone charged and protect your belongings, drinks and payment information.
- Do not pressure anyone to drink, date, share private information, move to another location or remain after they want to leave.
- Check current venue, ticket, route, weather and access information before travelling.
- Leave immediately if a situation feels unsafe.
Weefou may offer profile review, verification, reporting, blocking and moderation tools. These tools can provide context but cannot guarantee identity, background, intention, attendance or offline behaviour.
11. Reporting a Plan or User
Report a Plan or user when you reasonably believe there is:
- A fake or misleading Plan.
- Hidden pricing, payment fraud or a suspicious money request.
- Harassment, threats, discrimination, stalking or pressure.
- An unsafe venue, illegal activity or serious misrepresentation.
- Non-consensual content, privacy misuse or impersonation.
- An underage user or another serious safety concern.
Use the in-app Report option where available and include the relevant Plan, profile, messages, payment record or screenshots when safe to do so. Users may also contact founder@weefou.com for support.
Reports should be honest. Weefou may review relevant profile information, Plan details, messages, transaction records, previous reports and other available evidence. Depending on the issue, Weefou may remove content, cancel or hide a Plan, issue a warning, restrict features, suspend an account, permanently ban an account or cooperate with lawful requests.
Weefou may not disclose every investigation detail or enforcement action. False, malicious or retaliatory reporting may itself lead to restriction.
12. Emergencies and Serious Harm
Weefou is not an emergency service. If there is immediate danger, leave the situation and contact the appropriate emergency service. In India, the national emergency number is 112. Financial cyber fraud may also be reported promptly through 1930 and the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal.
Preserve relevant evidence only when it is safe to do so. Report the account or Plan to Weefou after reaching safety.
13. Weefou's Role and Enforcement
Unless Weefou expressly identifies itself as the organiser, a user-created Plan is organised by the Host and not operated, inspected or guaranteed by Weefou. Weefou provides technology that may help users discover, request, confirm, communicate about and manage Plans.
Weefou does not guarantee that a Plan will happen, that every confirmed person will attend, that a venue or provider will perform as expected or that users will be compatible or safe. Hosts and Participants remain responsible for their conduct, decisions, legal compliance, payments and offline safety.
Weefou may remove or restrict any Plan or account that violates this Policy, the Terms and Conditions, the Community Guidelines, safety rules or applicable law. Serious safety, fraud or legal concerns may result in immediate action.
14. Updates and Contact
Weefou may update this Plans Policy as product features, payment flows, laws or safety practices change. The latest published version and effective date will apply, subject to applicable law.
For Plan, safety, cancellation or payment concerns, contact founder@weefou.com and include the registered account details, Plan name, date, transaction reference and a clear description of the issue where relevant.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does sending a join request guarantee my place?
No. A place is confirmed only when the Host accepts the request or the booking flow shows confirmation. Capacity, eligibility and safety review may affect the Host's decision.
Can a Host remove a Participant?
A Host may remove or decline a Participant for capacity, activity fit, stated eligibility, safety or policy reasons. The decision must follow applicable law and Weefou policies. If payment was collected, the booking-specific refund terms still apply.
What happens if the Host changes the venue or price?
The Host should notify confirmed Participants and request fresh confirmation for a material change. A user may withdraw if the revised Plan no longer works for them. Refund eligibility depends on the rules shown at booking, the payment channel and applicable law.
What happens if somebody does not attend?
The Host or Participant should record or report the issue honestly through the available flow. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may lead to proportionate restrictions. A no-show does not automatically qualify for a refund.
Who handles a refund?
It depends on the payment route. App-store purchases may be controlled by Apple or Google. Direct Weefou payments follow the checkout terms and Refund / Cancellation Policy. Third-party tickets, hotels, transport and venue bookings follow the provider's rules.
What should I do if a Plan feels unsafe?
Do not attend or leave when it is safe to do so. Block and report the user or Plan, preserve relevant evidence and contact emergency services if there is immediate danger.
