Welcome to the Weefou Safety Centre. Weefou is built to help people connect with clear intent for friendship, dating, events, travel, networking, communities, activities, and real-life plans.
Your safety matters to us. This Safety Centre explains how to use Weefou safely, how to protect your privacy, how to report unsafe behaviour, and what steps Weefou may take to keep the platform safer.
1. Our Safety Promise
Weefou is designed to support respectful, honest, and safe connections.
We work to reduce:
- Fake profiles, harassment, spam, abuse, scams, unsafe behaviour, non-consensual content, misleading profiles, inappropriate messages, and harmful or illegal activity.
However, Weefou cannot guarantee the identity, background, intention, or offline behaviour of every user.
You should always use your own judgment when chatting, sharing information, or meeting someone in real life.
2. Who Can Use Weefou
Weefou is only for users who are 18 years or older.
You should not use Weefou if you are under 18.
If we find that a user is under 18, we may suspend or delete the account.
If you see or suspect an underage user on Weefou, please report the profile immediately.
3. Profile Safety
Your profile should be honest and safe.
Do:
- Use your real identity and your own photos.
- Keep your profile respectful.
- Share only information you are comfortable showing.
- Use clear and appropriate photos.
- Keep your intent and preferences accurate.
Do not:
- Use fake photos, pretend to be someone else, or upload someone else’s photo without permission.
- Share your home address, private documents, or financial details.
- Add offensive, sexual, abusive, or misleading content.
- Misrepresent your age, gender, identity, intent, or relationship status.
4. Photo Safety
Your photos help others understand who you are, but they should be safe and respectful.
Allowed:
- Clear photos of yourself, travel photos, lifestyle photos, activity photos, event photos, and group photos where others are not misrepresented.
Not allowed:
- Nudity, sexually explicit images, stolen photos, fake identity photos, private documents, violent or graphic images, non-consensual images, unsafe photos of minors, hate symbols, or illegal activity.
Weefou may remove photos that violate our rules.
5. Chat Safety
Chat should be respectful, safe, and consent-based.
Do:
- Start conversations politely.
- Respect someone’s boundaries.
- Stop messaging if someone is not interested.
- Report abusive or suspicious messages.
- Block users who make you uncomfortable.
Do not:
- Send abusive messages, sexual messages, or explicit photos without consent.
- Ask repeatedly for private photos or pressure someone to reply.
- Threaten, blackmail, or insult users.
- Share spam, scams, phishing links, or ask for money, OTPs, passwords, or bank details.
No means no. Silence also means no consent.
6. Consent and Boundaries
Consent is required in every interaction.
You must not pressure anyone to:
- Chat, share photos, meet offline, date, travel, share private information, continue a conversation, join an event, share location, or send intimate content.
If someone declines, stops replying, blocks you, or asks you to stop, respect their decision.
7. Meeting Someone Safely
If you decide to meet someone from Weefou, take safety precautions.
Recommended safety steps:
- Meet in a public place.
- Inform a trusted friend or family member.
- Arrange your own transport.
- Keep your phone charged.
- Avoid sharing your home address too early.
- Avoid private or isolated locations for first meetings.
- Do not leave your drink or belongings unattended.
- Trust your instincts and leave immediately if you feel unsafe.
Weefou is not responsible for offline meetings, personal decisions, user behaviour, disputes, losses, injuries, or harm arising from user interactions.
8. Location Safety
Weefou may use your location to show nearby users, improve matching, support travel mode, and suggest local plans.
Location safety tips:
- Do not share your exact live location with strangers.
- Avoid sharing your home or workplace location too early.
- Use approximate location where available.
- Review your device location permissions.
- Turn off location access if you do not want location-based discovery.
Some Weefou features may not work properly without location permission.
9. Plan Request Safety
Weefou may allow users to create, send, accept, decline, or manage plan requests.
Plan safety tips:
- Accept plans only from users you feel comfortable with.
- Choose public places for first plans.
- Avoid unsafe locations.
- Do not feel pressured to accept a request.
- Decline or ignore requests that make you uncomfortable.
- Report suspicious plans.
- Block users who repeatedly pressure you.
If a plan is declined, expired, or ignored, the other user must respect that decision.
10. Event Safety
If Weefou allows event discovery or event hosting, users and hosts must follow safety rules.
Event hosts should:
- Provide accurate event details, the correct venue, clear timing, transparent pricing, and a safe environment.
- Follow applicable local laws and avoid discriminatory or unsafe entry practices.
Users should:
- Verify event details before attending.
- Avoid sharing unnecessary personal information.
- Check the venue and timing.
- Inform someone before attending.
- Report suspicious or fake events.
Weefou may remove unsafe, fake, illegal, or misleading events.
11. Scam and Fraud Safety
Never send money to someone you meet on Weefou.
Be careful if someone:
- Asks for money, emergency help, travel funds, medical help, tickets, recharge, or gifts.
- Shares investment tips, crypto schemes, trading schemes, suspicious links, or fake jobs.
- Requests OTPs, passwords, bank details, UPI PINs, card details, wallet access, or private documents.
- Pushes you to move to another app quickly.
Do not share Aadhaar, PAN, passport, or ID images unless required by an official verified process.
Report suspicious users immediately.
12. Privacy Safety
Protect your personal information.
Avoid sharing:
- Home address, workplace address, daily routine, phone number too early, email address too early, family details, financial information, private photos, government IDs, passwords, OTPs, social media passwords, personal documents, or exact live location.
You control what you share with other users.
13. Reporting a User
You can report a user if they violate Weefou rules or make you feel unsafe.
You may report:
- Fake profiles, harassment, abuse, threats, hate speech, scams, spam, inappropriate photos, sexual harassment, non-consensual content, underage users, impersonation, privacy violations, unsafe plan requests, illegal activity, or suspicious behaviour.
To report a user:
- Open the user’s profile or chat.
- Tap Report.
- Select the reason.
- Add details or screenshots if available.
- Submit the report.
Weefou may review the report and take appropriate action.
14. Blocking a User
Blocking helps you stop unwanted interaction.
You can block a user if:
- They make you uncomfortable, send unwanted messages, pressure you, behave abusively, or you do not want further contact.
After blocking, the blocked user may be restricted from contacting you or interacting with your profile, depending on app functionality.
If someone blocks you, do not try to contact them through another account or another method.
15. What Happens After a Report
After receiving a report, Weefou may review:
- Profile details, photos, messages, plan requests, user behaviour, previous reports, safety signals, and related evidence.
Depending on the issue, Weefou may:
- Warn the user, remove content, restrict chat, hide profile visibility, suspend the account, permanently ban the account, remove verification, or escalate serious issues where legally required.
For privacy and safety reasons, we may not always share full investigation details.
16. False Reporting
Reporting should be used only for genuine safety, abuse, or policy concerns.
Do not:
- Submit fake reports, report someone for revenge, submit misleading evidence, coordinate false mass reports, or abuse the report system.
False reporting may lead to action against your account.
17. Photo Verification Safety
Weefou may provide photo verification to improve trust.
Verification may help show that a user’s profile is more authentic, but it does not guarantee:
- The user is safe, their intentions are genuine, they have no criminal history, they will behave properly offline, or their profile is fully verified in every way.
Always use your own judgment even when interacting with verified profiles.
18. Paid User Safety
Paid users must follow the same safety rules as free users.
Subscriptions, boosts, premium features, or paid visibility do not allow anyone to:
- Harass others, spam users, send abusive messages, send sexual content without consent, avoid moderation, break Community Guidelines, misuse plan requests, or pressure users.
Weefou may restrict or ban paid users who violate safety rules.
19. Women’s Safety and User Respect
Weefou expects all users to behave respectfully.
Not allowed:
- Unwanted flirting after refusal, sexual comments without consent, repeated pressure to meet, body shaming, threats, abuse, stalking, explicit content without permission, repeated requests for private photos, or behaviour that makes users feel unsafe.
Users should feel free to block and report anyone who crosses boundaries.
20. LGBTQ+ Safety
Weefou supports respectful and safe connections for LGBTQ+ users and communities.
Not allowed:
- Hate speech, outing someone without consent, mocking identity, harassment, threats, discriminatory behaviour, sharing private identity-related information, or unsafe targeting of LGBTQ+ users.
Respect every user’s privacy, identity, and boundaries.
21. Community Safety
If Weefou supports communities, groups, or interest-based spaces, users must keep them safe.
Do not use communities for:
- Hate speech, harassment, illegal activity, sexual exploitation, spam, scams, fake promotions, political abuse, religious hatred, caste-based discrimination, threats, bullying, or sharing private user information.
Community content may be reviewed or removed if it violates Weefou policies.
22. Emergency Situations
If you are in immediate danger, stop using the app and contact local emergency services or trusted people near you.
Weefou is not an emergency service.
For urgent safety situations:
- Move to a safe place.
- Contact local emergency help.
- Inform a trusted person.
- Preserve evidence if safe to do so.
- Report the user on Weefou when you are safe.
23. Cybercrime and Serious Abuse
If you experience serious online abuse, blackmail, financial fraud, identity misuse, threats, or non-consensual content sharing, you may also consider reporting the matter to the appropriate legal or cybercrime authority in your region.
Weefou may cooperate with lawful requests where required under applicable law.
24. How Weefou Protects Users
Weefou may use safety systems such as:
- User reporting, blocking tools, profile review, photo review, verification signals, abuse detection, spam detection, scam detection, moderation review, safety warnings, account restrictions, and policy enforcement.
We continue improving safety features as the platform grows.
25. User Responsibility
Every user is responsible for their own behaviour.
You must:
- Be honest, respect consent, follow the law, avoid scams, protect your privacy, use respectful language, follow Community Guidelines, report unsafe behaviour, avoid pressuring other users, and make safe decisions before meeting offline.
26. Account Restriction or Ban
Weefou may restrict, suspend, or permanently ban accounts that violate safety rules.
Reasons may include:
- Fake profile, harassment, abuse, threats, scam activity, spam, underage use, hate speech, non-consensual content, illegal activity, repeated policy violations, or safety risk to other users.
Serious violations may lead to immediate permanent ban.
27. Appeals
If your account is restricted or banned, you may contact Weefou support for review.
Appeals are not guaranteed to reverse the decision.
We may refuse to restore accounts where there is serious safety, abuse, fraud, legal, or platform risk.
