This Law Enforcement Request Policy explains how Weefou handles requests from law enforcement agencies, government authorities, regulatory bodies, courts, and other legally authorised authorities for user information, account records, content, preservation, restriction, or other assistance.

Weefou respects user privacy and safety. We also comply with valid and lawful requests from authorised authorities where required under applicable law.

Weefou will review each request based on applicable law, user privacy, safety risk, and platform policy.

  • The request is not received through an official channel

  • The requested data is not available
  • The request appears abusive, fraudulent, or unauthorised
  • Disclosure may put users at risk without proper legal basis

Weefou may ask for clarification, correction, or additional legal documentation before responding.

8. Data Preservation Requests

Law enforcement agencies may request Weefou to preserve specific account data or records for a lawful investigation.

A preservation request should include:

  • Official agency details
  • Legal basis for preservation
  • Specific user identifier
  • Relevant time period
  • Case or complaint reference number
  • Type of data to be preserved
  • Officer name, designation, and contact details

Preservation does not mean disclosure. Data may be preserved for a limited period while the authority obtains proper legal process for disclosure.

Preservation Period: 90 days unless extended by valid legal request.

9. Emergency Requests

In emergency situations involving serious risk of death, physical harm, sexual exploitation, child safety, terrorism, violent threats, or immediate danger, Weefou may review urgent requests on priority.

Emergency requests should include:
