This Age & Eligibility Policy explains who can use Weefou, the minimum age requirement, account eligibility rules, age verification, underage account handling, and user responsibilities.

By creating an account or using Weefou, you confirm that you meet the eligibility requirements explained in this Policy, along with our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, User Safety Policy, and other applicable policies.

2. Minimum Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Weefou.

Weefou is not intended for children, minors, or users below 18 years of age.

If you are under 18, you must not:

  • Create a Weefou account
  • Use Weefou services
  • Upload photos or media
  • Use chat or discovery features
  • Send or accept plan requests
  • Join events or communities through Weefou
  • Purchase subscriptions or paid features
  • Interact with other users on Weefou

3. User Confirmation

By creating a Weefou account, you confirm that:

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have the legal capacity to use Weefou.
  • You are not prohibited by law from using our services.
  • The age and date of birth information you provide is true and accurate.
  • You will not create an account for someone under 18.
  • You will not allow a minor to use your account.
  • You will not help a minor bypass Weefou's age restrictions.

4. No Use by Minors

Weefou does not knowingly allow users under 18 to use the platform.

This rule applies even if a parent, guardian, friend, or family member gives permission.

Because Weefou includes social discovery, chat, location-based features, photos, user-generated content, dating/social intent, and real-life plan features, users below 18 are not allowed to use the app.

5. Age Information

We may ask for your date of birth, age, or age confirmation during account creation, onboarding, profile setup, verification, or safety review.

You agree to provide accurate information.

You must not:

  • Enter a false date of birth
  • Hide your real age
  • Misrepresent yourself as 18 or older
  • Use another person's identity
  • Use fake documents or fake verification details
  • Create a new account after being removed for underage use

6. Age Verification

Weefou may use reasonable methods to check age or eligibility where required.

This may include:

  • Date of birth confirmation
  • Self-declaration
  • Profile review
  • Report review
  • Photo or account review
  • Document verification, where required
  • Safety or moderation checks
  • Other lawful verification methods

Weefou may request additional information if we believe an account may belong to a person under 18.

Failure to complete verification may result in account restriction, suspension, or deletion.

7. Underage Account Handling

If Weefou finds or reasonably suspects that a user is under 18, we may take action such as:

  • Restricting the account
  • Suspending the account
  • Removing profile visibility
  • Disabling chat
  • Disabling discovery
  • Disabling plan requests
  • Removing uploaded content
  • Permanently deleting the account
  • Blocking future account creation where appropriate

Weefou may take action without prior notice if needed for user safety, legal compliance, or platform protection.

8. Reporting Underage Users

If you believe someone under 18 is using Weefou, please report the account immediately.

You can report through:

  • User profile report option
  • Chat report option
  • In-app support
  • Safety email

When reporting an underage user, please include:

  • Profile name
  • Screenshot, if available
  • Reason for your concern
  • Any related chat or profile details
  • Date and time of the issue

Please do not harass, threaten, publicly shame, or contact the suspected user directly.

9. Account Removal for False Age

If you provide false age information or misrepresent your eligibility, Weefou may:

  • Suspend your account
  • Delete your account
  • Remove your content
  • Cancel access to features
  • Restrict future account creation
  • Take action under our Terms and Conditions

If your account is removed because of false age information, refunds for paid features or subscriptions may not be available, unless required by applicable law or app-store policy.

10. Parent or Guardian Contact

If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a person under 18 has created a Weefou account, please contact us.

  • Your relationship with the minor
  • Reason for the request

We may verify the request before taking action.

11. User Responsibility

Every user is responsible for using Weefou honestly and safely.

You must not:

  • Create a fake age profile
  • Use another person's profile
  • Allow minors to access your account
  • Share your login with anyone
  • Help someone under 18 join Weefou
  • Mislead users about your age
  • Use Weefou if you are legally restricted from doing so

12. Eligibility Beyond Age

You may use Weefou only if:

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You can legally agree to our Terms.
  • You are not banned from Weefou.
  • You are not using the app for illegal, harmful, fraudulent, abusive, or unsafe activity.
  • You comply with applicable laws.
  • You follow Weefou's Terms, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Safety policies.

We may restrict or refuse access if you do not meet these requirements.

13. Previously Banned Users

If your account was previously suspended, banned, or deleted for safety, fraud, abuse, false age, or policy violation, you must not create a new account without written permission from Weefou.

Creating a new account to bypass a ban may result in permanent restriction.

14. Age-Appropriate Experience

Weefou is designed for adults only.

The app may include features such as:

  • Profile discovery
  • Chat
  • User-generated content
  • Photos and media
  • Location-based discovery
  • Dating/social intent
  • Real-life plan requests
  • Events or community features
  • Paid subscriptions or add-ons

These features are not intended for users under 18.

15. Data Handling for Underage Accounts

If we identify an underage account, we may delete or restrict the account and associated personal data, subject to legal, safety, fraud prevention, dispute, or compliance requirements.

Some limited records may be retained where necessary for:

  • Safety investigations
  • Abuse prevention
  • Fraud prevention
  • Legal compliance
  • Dispute resolution
  • Platform security
  • Enforcement of Weefou policies

16. Subscriptions and Paid Features

Users under 18 are not allowed to purchase or use paid Weefou features.

If a user misrepresents their age and purchases a paid feature, Weefou may restrict or delete the account.

Refunds may be subject to:

  • Weefou's Refund / Cancellation Policy
  • Apple App Store policy
  • Google Play Store policy
  • Payment partner rules
  • Applicable law

Deleting or restricting an underage account may not automatically cancel subscriptions purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

17. Safety Warning

Users should report any profile that appears to involve a minor, child exploitation, grooming, harassment, abuse, or unsafe behaviour.

Weefou has zero tolerance for:

  • Child sexual abuse material
  • Grooming
  • Sexual communication with minors
  • Exploitation of minors
  • Sharing minor-related sexual content
  • Encouraging minors to use Weefou
  • Helping minors bypass age checks

Serious violations may result in permanent ban and legal reporting where required.

18. Changes to This Policy

Weefou may update this Age & Eligibility Policy from time to time.

If we make important changes, we may notify users through the app, website, email, or other reasonable method.

Your continued use of Weefou after the updated Policy becomes effective means you accept the revised Policy.
